Obituary for Ruth Mae Rakes

Ruth Mae Rakes. Age 91, of Bradfordsville passed away on January 22, 2018 at her residence after an illness.
She was born to the late Lucien Rakes and Ella Mae (Smothers) Rakes on March 19th, 1926 in Marion County. She was married on November 30th, 1944 to Vernal Henry Rakes.
She is preceded in death by her Husband: Vernal Henry Rakes and Daughters; Bonnie Sue Bush and Wilma Lee Lawson.
She is survived by her Sons: Vernal Ray Rakes, Wayne Allen Rakes, Lyle Carl Rakes, Joseph Paul Rakes, David Allen Rakes all of Taylor County; Daughters: Ella Mae (Rakes) Reed, (Michael David) of Nicholasville, Lucy Lee Rakes, Dorothy Rakes both of Taylor County, Patricia Ann Malson of Lake Alfred Florida, Janet Faye Hall (Danny) of Versailles, and Shelby Jean Clark also of Campbellsville; Twenty Seven Grandchildren; Thirty Six Great Grandchildren also survive along with a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, January 25th, 2018 at 1:00P.M. at Campbell-Fisher Funeral Home with burial to follow in The Old Liberty Cemetery.
The family requests visitation on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 after 4:00 P.M. at the Funeral home.
